About me and the Baileyville

Hey there, I'm Josh Bailey, and I believe our most innovative chapters often begin when we least expect them.

Like many of you, I hit my 40s and realized something: all those years of experience weren't slowing me down. They were actually my secret weapon. While juggling the beautiful chaos of parenthood, I found myself drawn deeper into the worlds of technology and photography, discovering that wisdom and curiosity make an incredible combination.

My Journey

I'm a parent first, but I'm also someone who refuses to let age define my creative limits. Whether I'm exploring the latest tech innovations, capturing moments through my lens, or figuring out how to balance family life with personal passions, I've learned that experience doesn't limit us. It amplifies our potential.

The tech world moves fast, but having lived through multiple cycles of innovation gives me perspective that younger creators are still developing. I've seen trends come and go, which means I can spot what's worth investing time in and what's just noise.

Photography has taught me patience and presence. These are skills that parenting also demands. There's something powerful about seeing the world through both a parent's eyes and a creator's lens.

Why This Community Matters

Too often, we hear that creativity and innovation are young person's games. I call BS on that.

Some of us are just hitting our stride after 40. We have the life experience to know what matters, the patience to master new skills properly, and the perspective to create with purpose. We're not trying to be the youngest in the room. We're trying to be the most thoughtful.
